Frequently asked questions.

How do I know if you are the right therapist for me?

Finding the right therapist isn’t easy. Not every therapist is right for every client and vise versa. That is at no fault to either parties. I offer free consultation calls to prospective clients so we can both assess for goodness of fit prior to any committment to therapy. As a therapist, I also empower my client to bring up any reservations about myself and my style to me so we can address accordingly. If we are not a good fit, I do have a network of professionals that I can refer you to if needed, to ensure you have the best fit possible. .

How often do therapy sessions occur?

Sessions are typically weekly, at least in the beginning. This gives the client and myself more opportunities to establish rapport and identify the best ways we can work together. After a certain point, typically after the client reached their goals and no longer need therapy, we can discuss moving sessions to be less frequent.

Do you offer online therapy for clients residing outside of California?

Unfortunately, I only work with clients residing in California due to my associate registration and the legal requirements.

Do you take insurance?

I currently am not in network with insurance. However, I can provide a superbill (out of network reimbursement) if your insurance has these benefits. I also offer many sliding scale spots for individuals who are unable to afford my rates.

What is your out of pocket rate?

My out of pocket rate is $130/session. However, i do offer sliding scale rates as low as $40 depending on availability.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I take Venmo, Zelle, or credit card.

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. If client’s need to reschedule or cancel their upcoming appointment, please reach out to me. Any cancelled or missed appointments after the 48-hours, will be charged the rate of the client’s session fee.

Do you only work with Asian Americans?

Definitely not! I love working with diverse populations and have experiences working with many folks with different backgrounds. While I mostly work with Asian Americans, I welcome clients of all backgrounds.
